All 16 songwriters got to play 2 songs each, and then three performers are chosen to move on to the final round.<\/p>\n<p>Somehow, I ended up moving on to the final round, and then winning the competition, which was a super humbling experience. I&#8217;m still a bit awestruck by the whole night; if it was a competition on being awkward and uncomfortable, it would have made much more sense.<\/p>\n<p>My good friend Angelo Valentine, who is a <a title=\"Angelo Valentine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.angelovalentine.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">fantastic photographer\u00a0and videographer<\/a>, graciously captured video from that night. This song is called Driving, and the full band version can be listened to on my <a title=\"For Annalise EP\" href=\"http:\/\/robrice.bandcamp.com\/album\/for-annalise-ep\" target=\"_blank\">BandCamp page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/fSiWyVODIyE?hd=1\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If you get the chance, you should definitely make it out to the Songwriter&#8217;s Stage at Downtown Credo Cafe.
