Last year, I entered the 2011 Unifying Theme Composition Competition at UCF and won 2nd place with this piece entitled Strive. It’s only a minute long, and was written for piano, strings, glockenspiel, and some percussion. As short and simple as it is, it’s become one of my favorite pieces. -Rob Rice
